Today's Find at my Mom's

I think I made this when I was 7 or 8 when we lived in Connecticut. It lived in our living room!

Close-up!!!!!

Look what just flew right over my house, thanks Mr. Pilot and Ms. Assistant!

Aviation Adventure

Out at the Missoula airport's Museum of Mountain Flying are two gems right now, a B-25 bomber and this B-17 "Sentimental Journey." I was delighted to meet the pilot and assistant, admitted I never made it through ground school to be a pilot myself. So I just enjoy watching falcons fly! Climbing through the interior brought goosebumps, the bombardier/gunner nose cone with the cockpit. Walking through the bomb section I made a comment to myself about the movie Dr. Strangelove. Totally amazing and what history!

Guest Room

We just had a major Greeting Card inventory/printing/installment and this has been the guest bed for the last week. That's okay, as you could still climb under the sheets...not really. We have about 120 images, 5 new ones, for sale at Rockin Rudy's and The Good Food Store. All proceeds to benefit our program. Buy quail for the spoiled falcons...Love THIS!

Thane, Kate, Etc.

A photo from Tuesday and me and Thane Maynard, backdrop of Sonny and Nigel the eagles, MPG Ranch across the river. What a memorable day that was...for me anyway. I know I talked their ears off, reminiscing about the 1970's at the Cincinnati Zoo. Hope to get that speaking engagement there in the spring, which would make 50 years exactly since it all began!

How Does She Do It?

I have a big roll of 1/2 inch sisal rope that I tie into balls for all the birds play with - eagles, hawks, owls and falcons. I  tie them as tight as I possibly can, tugging away using the bench vice then cut them with a saw. Different sizes and all of the birds chew them a bit, move them around their enclosures, what fun. Well, don't ask me how, but Misca the Peregrine can actually untie them! I defy you to do that yourself. Me so proud.
